Aim:Excessive reassurance-seeking (ERS) is a common problem among both clinically anxious populations and particularly among individuals diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive spectrum disorder.Accordingly, the aim of the present study, was to investigate the phenomenological experience of reassurance seeking in patient with obsessive–compulsive disorder( Najes-Paki subtype ) by the use of qualitative method and producing a thematic map .Method :To assess factors involved in reassurance-seeking , a semi structured interview were employed on 13 patients with jajes paki OCD diagnosis .Data were analyzed using conventional content analysis (thematic analysis) Findings :Five overarching themes were identified in terms of triggers of reassurance seeking,content of reassurance seeking , reassurance seeking mechanism,reassurance seeking, motivation and stop criteria of reassurance seeking .Results :Theoretical applications and the clinical utility of the research findings are discussed by the use of cognitive-behavioral models of OCD. A thematic map was produced to understand the relationship between themes and sub-themes. Keywords:
