The role of attachment to Parents\'dimensions and cognitiveprocesses in identity processing style of youths

Abstract

The aim of the study was to investigate the relationships among attachment to parents' dimensions, cognitive processes (rational and intuitive processing) and formation of college students' identity styles. Subjects were 280 undergraduate students which were selected by random cluster sampling. All participants were asked to complete Identity Style, Rational Versus Experiential Inventories and Inventory of attachment to Parents. The current study was descriptivecorrelationin method.In order to investigate the role of predictive variables, stepwise multiple regression method was utilized.
