The purpose of this study was to investigated dysfunctional attitudes, incomplete sentence task and positive affect in patients with clinical depression in admission and remission situations. The research method was ex-post facto study. The method of sampling was accessible sampling. The samples were selected from three populations. They were consisted of clinical depression patients (n=20), non-clinical depression patients (n=20), and normal persons (n=20). The Participants were answered Beck Depression Inventory, Dysfunctional Attitudes Scale, Incomplete Sentence Task and Positive Affect Scale. For data analysis used ANOVA and Sheffeh's test. The results were showed that: 1) Dysfunctional attitude of the clinical depression group in remission time was significantly lower than the admission time. 2) Clinical depression patients in remission time used positive verbs lower than the admission time. 3) Positive affect of the Clinical depression patients in remission time was significantly more than the admission time.4) Analysis of data showed a significant difference between the groups in the dysfunctional attitudes, incomplete sentence task and positive affect. Depressive thoughts always exist in disorder and remission states. Activation of depressive thoughts determin depressive disorder or remission.
