Study the happiness relationship with religious orientation and personality

Abstract

The main purpose of this research was to study the relationship between religious orientation and personality with happiness. For this purpose 324 college students were selected through random stratified sampling. Bahrami's religion scale was applied for religious orientation and NEO-FFI-60 questionnaire was used to measure personality and Oxford happiness's questionnaire was used to measure happiness of college students. Result of correlation and regression showed that 1) there was a positive correlation between the components of religious orientation and happiness and there was a negative correlation between gratification and disorganization with happiness and there was a positive correlation between happiness with conscientiousness, extroversion and openness to experience and there was a negative correlation with happiness neuroticisms.
