Blind-Peer Review Process & Open Access Policy

The Quarterly Journal of Psychological Studies (ISSN: 2538-2950) is double blind peer review, and has open access policies, and free of charges for on line copy.

The process of Publishing System:

 At first, Technical Editor checks the format, style and compatibility of manuscript with PSYS’s Guidelines for Authors. This action continues thorough out of the review process and publication. If the authors of the manuscript have not considered the guidelines, it will be sent back to the authors requesting to do so. If the manuscript meets the minimum criteria to be included in review process, it will be considered by all associate editors in the editorial board, or the editor-in-chief, suggesting at least 2 referees (topic expert) for evaluation process. At this stage the authors should pay the first stage of payment.

Then, the editor-in-chief selects two external reviewers based on their scientific background, experience, previous works, authors’ suggestion, and expertise for detail evaluation. The reviewers stay anonymous and also, authors’ names are not declared to reviewers. Reviewers promise to undertake the confidentiality of materials till to e-Publication.

Editor in chief receives the reviewers’ comments and sends them along with decision letter to corresponding author, if the two reviewers’ opinion are not opposed, otherwise anther referee will be allocated for further correct decision.   If the corresponding author reviews and corrects the manuscript by considering reviewers’ comments and resend it to the Journal of PSYS, the editor in chief will send it to one of referees or one of the associate chief editor in order to compare the justification and changes that the author made and highlighted on the manuscript.   

Although final decision on each manuscript will be made by the assigned associate chief editor of the manuscript, it will be viewed by editor in chief for further compatibility after correcting. Then the author corrects the final version of reviewed manuscript. This last process may take some more times till the requirements of the Journal scientifically, principally and conditionally has been reached.

When the article has been approved, the technical editor will ask the author to pay the second stage of payment. After receiving the payment, the article stands in a que of e-publication but receiving DOI number. After editing stage, and lay out designing, the article will be published by its order of approval if the authors have not had published, any during the same year.
