This study conducted with the aim of the effect of group interpersonal therapy (Weissman,Klerman.2000)on depression and loneliness in depressedgirlstudents. So, girl students who has included criteria with regard to Beck depression inventory (Beck & others,1961) and loneliness questionnaire(Dehshiri& others,1386)invited for interview, and after clinical interview26 participants were selected and randomly assigned in two groups (each group contained 13 participants). Participants of two groups completed all the items of Beck depression inventoryand loneliness questionnaireprior to and after the therapy.The method of this research was Qusi-experimantalstudy with pretest- posttest design , using control group .After 12 sessions of receiving group interpersonal therapy.
