The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of emotional intelligence on quality of life and its dimensions in a group of Shiraz University students. To do this, 403 students were selected using a multistage cluster sampling method. Data were collected using the brief version of Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire (Petridse & Furnham, 2001), and the World Health Organization Quality of Life scale (1998), were applied. Analysis of data using multiple regression analysis revealed that emotional intelligence was a good predictor of students' quality of life and all dimensions of it, including physical health, psychological health, social relationship, quality of life environment.
