Comparing attitude toward gender role and it`s relation with life satisfaction among employees

Abstract

This study Compares attitude toward gender role and it's association with life satisfaction among employees. In a sectional survey study 160 employees selected through stratified and cluster sampling from different offices .The data was collected by self-structured questionnaire of "attitude toward gender role" ,"Satisfaction With Life Scale" and "Oxford Happiness Inventory". The data was analyzed with analysis of variance: two-way classification , pearson correlation and regression methods. Finding showed significant difference among early adulthood and middle adulthood men and women on accepting of gender stereotypes. There was a signify cant difference between men and women’s attitude toward gender egalitarianism. .But early adulthood and middle adulthood have not significant difference in attitude toward gender egalitarianism.
There were significant positive correlation between gender egalitarianism and life satisfaction. But there were significant negative correlation between accepting of gender stereotypes and life satisfaction.
