The main aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of psychodrama in the treatment of kleptomania. In this study, single subject design (A-B) and Kleptomania Symptom Assessment Scale were used. Client was an eleven years old girl who presented with symptoms of Kleptomania to the therapist. Duration of treatment for this client was eight sessions (one session per week). After treatment sessions, follow-up sessions were performed too. The client’s score on the pretest was 34 that is a very high score in the kleptomania Symptom Assessment Scale. On the post test, her score reduced to 11, which represents a significant change in her status. Reports of the client and her mother about the thoughts and behaviors related to the theft in follow-up sessions also showed a significant reduction in symptoms of Kleptomania. According to the findings it can be said that psychodrama was effective in The treatment of kleptomania. So, the main Suggestion of this research is to use this method of psychotherapy in The future researches.
