A comparative study of the quality of life and religious attitude among Addicted / non-addicted individuals in Kerman City

Abstract

This research was carried out to compare the quality of life and religious attitude among Addicted and non-addicted individuals in Kerman. The samples of the present study consisted of 200 individuals from 2 groups of men: addicted and non-addicted (each group consisted of 100 individuals). Quality of life and religious attitude among the individuals were assessed by means of Religious Attitude and SF-36 Questionnaires, respectively. Result of the study showed that: Religious attitude among the two groups of individuals was significantly different. Religious attitude among the addicted individuals was significantly lower than among non-addict individuals. The differences among the two groups with respect to the quality of life and its subscales were also significant. Quality of life among the addicted individuals was lower then the quality of life among the non-addicted individuals. The correlation between religious attitude and quality of life in both groups were positively significant.
